FAQs

GENERAL

  • Pilates is a low-impact exercise method that focuses on core strength, flexibility, and overall body alignment. It’s suitable for all fitness levels and helps improve posture, balance, and muscular endurance.

Reformer Pilates uses a specialised machine with a sliding carriage, springs, and pulleys to add resistance to traditional Pilates exercises. It enhances strength, precision, and control.

Our mat classes combine traditional Pilates movements with modern strength and cardio workouts using a variety of props to build strength, flexibility and fitness.

  • No prior experience is needed! Our Foundation classes are beginner-friendly and our friendly instructors will help you feel confident and comfortable, offering modifications that ensure you have a safe and effective workout, no matter your fitness level.

  • Yes! Our instructors will ensure to make the necessary modifications for you to have a safe and effective workout. Please advise the team of your pregnancy and we’ll share a useful information pack to help you continue to move with us.

From 25 weeks clients must provide written clearance from your doctor, women’s health physio or OBGYN to participate in Pilates classes.

  • Pilates can be an excellent option for rehabilitation or managing specific conditions, but we recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before starting. Let your instructor know about any injuries or limitations so they can modify exercises for you.

If you require personalised support that’s not available in a group training session, you can book a private session with our instructors.

  • A number of health funds changed their cover in 2019 and no longer cover Pilates in their extras packages with the exception of clinical pilates delivered by a registered Physiotherapist. We are supporting this change into the future and will update you should we be informed of anything different.

It’s best to check with your own health fund to ensure you understand their position.
